I started gambling in college, first with my friends and roommates just for fun on weekends. As I moved from playing poker and blackjack for toothpicks to online gambling sites, I made gambling my own sport. It was the time when the first “advertised” sites began reaching my part of the globe. After a few years of playing around I learned enough to make this hobby my “afternoon job” for that little extra every month to make life cosier … for a student, at least. I suppose that being a math student played somewhat of a role as well. I kept this going for a long time (I never stopped, to be honest) and during all these years I had the pleasure of trying thousands of different games, and hundreds of casinos and betting sites.
Oh, I almost forgot – Bitcoins made their way in somewhere along the way too. I think it was around 2010 when I bought a few just for fun; I didn’t really know what they were back then. I forgot about them for a while until I ran across a casino that promoted Bitcoin bonuses, and I decided to give it a try. Gambling with Bitcoins had its ups and downs, but I liked the fact that I could keep my bank account and my “gambling account” separate due to Bitcoins. It was just a way of organizing my life, I guess. And I continued to do the same to this very day. Everything I earned (or spent), including this website, came from those first few Bitcoins. And here we are – ta-da!
First things first: This website is an affiliate website. This means that I get some sort of commission from casinos if you decide to visit them and play through any of my links. You can think of it as booking.com for hotels, except that I’m gamblineers.com for casinos. The fact that I get a commission does not make your experience any worse – in fact, more often then not it makes it even better. A lot of casinos offer me exclusive offers for all players who join them through Gamblineers. It is a win-win-win situation. I help casinos get players and help you find good casinos, casinos offer you extra promotions, and you help me as well, by following my links.
However, this kind of situation often leads players to believe that people like me become biased, untruthful or somehow misleading. So let’s be honest: Everything listed on this website is here because I personally prefer it. I gain nothing if I promote casinos that are not really good just because I can make a few extra $ for it. You liking the casinos that you visit and deciding to stay or come back benefits me the most. This is the reason why I set up this website in the first place. So don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. If it is listed here, it is because I believe that it is good. You can sit back, relax, enjoy and hopefully reap the rewards of your labor.
The fact-oriented way of presenting casinos to you on this site pretty much takes any possible subjective opinions out of the game. If a casino is good, I tell you it’s good. If it lacks any features, I tell you as well.
As I already mentioned, the majority of my latest gambling experience has been with Bitcoin. And with Bitcoin even more than with regular currency I really missed someone telling me which casinos are good, which have certain features or bonuses, and which do not. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of websites today which review casinos, list them and rate them. But everywhere I looked, I had to spend a lot of time searching for information, reading novel-sized reviews, going back and forth to compare casinos or games and clicking on dozens of links to get what I wanted. So I decided to put together my own website where I could present all the information the way it should be presented. After all, if I had to do the research anyway, why not bring it all together so that you don’t have to?
I was born and still live in Slovenia. It is a small country between Italy and Croatia. The special thing about Slovenia is that you can go from skiing mountain-tops to swimming in the Adriatic sea in less than 2 hours. And if you look at our country on the map it kind of looks like an open-mouthed chicken. Slovenia and Slovenians are simple; people say we complain a lot but in reality we don’t worry as much as we perhaps say we do. We live relatively relaxed lives; I suppose our nature, the countryside and how small the country is are to blame. To most people who visit Slovenia our capital looks like a suburb of a smaller city. No … Like a small town on the outskirts of a suburb to a smaller city, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, I was first introduced to gambling in college. After college I worked as a bank analyst for 6 years. The job was ok, but it wasn’t close to anything I could call passion or genuine enjoyment. And since my gambling afternoons were keeping me company all along, I finally decided to give it a shot and I started building this website. It took me quite some time; I pretty much built, researched and designed everything myself. I had some programming skills from college and my job, and … Ok, to be completely honest, I had some help with the design because I assumed that people would not be very happy with 13 different colors in the logo alone. Stick to what you know, as they say.
Now, this site is my regular job. Everything here is my work, from the content, to the web development, SEO, etc. I am learning more along the way, but so far it is going ok. I strive to make this website as straightforward as possible. It is made in my style, in the way I think and contains what I think could help you the most. So welcome to Gamblineers, I hope you like the site and I will be happy to get any type of feedback from you. Use the contact form below to help me make the site better. See you!
