Table rules determine what blackjack costs you. The payout on a natural matters most, and a 6:5 table adds roughly 1.4% to the house edge.

• The Reno rule limits doubling to 9, 10, or 11. That hands about 0.1% back to the house.
• The European rule limits doubling to 10 or 11 only, which costs you a bit more, around 0.2%.

None of these is huge alone. Stack two or three good ones on one table, though, and I’m texting the group chat about it. Check the rules panel for all of them before you play.
