BitTorrent is primarily used as a decentralized file sharing system. 1. Decentralization: BitTorrent accounts for 70 % of the internet traffic and it is the world’s largest decentralized network. It is a peer to peer file sharing and torrent platform. BitTorrent was purchased by TRON in July 2018. Since then, BitTorrent has added various new implementations, including creating its own native token named BTT. BTT was released on Tron’s blockchain in early 2019, using the TRC-10 standard and a proof of stake mechanism.
2. Safety: The team behind this project stated that BTT uses ‘the highest level of security measures,’ thus ensuring that your assets stay safe. However, it is worth mentioning that no crypto is 100% safe and that there is always a chance of hack attacks. 3. Scalability: This year BitTorrent has been working on implementing a new protocol and network: a p2p mechanism. It will allow users to store and share digital content in a decentralized filing system called BitTorrent File System (BTFS). BTFS will be one of the first abundant decentralized storage systems. DApp developers will be able to use it for things such as deploying websites directly on to the blockchain without the need for a server.

Being a token built on the TRON blockchain, BitTorrent generates its fees in the same manner; fees depend on the activity of the entire network. Despite this, they are way below average.

Tron uses a proof of stake system, allowing users to stake their crypto to earn interest. There is a ‘no miner fee’ which helps to keep fees low, almost at zero.
